EQUIPMENT RENTAL AGREEMENT

Lessor's commitment

  • The lessor is committed to providing equipment in safe and good working condition

  • The lessor will inform the tenant about risks inherent to the activity and the emergency procedures.

  • No refund will be made for early returns.

Renter’s commitment

  • I confirm I have the skills, knowledge and experience required to do the activity.

  • I acknowledge that I was informed about the risks inherent to the activities and I am able to participate in the activity WILLINGLY AND I ACCEPT ANY AND ALL RISKS THAT such an activity can comprise.

  • I agree to use the safety equipment required and provided by the lessor.

  • I undersigned, forego to any claim, proceeding in damage or interest for damages to assets and material of my belonging (attrition, loss, breakage, theft, vandalism).

  • I agree not to ride in deep water, particularly in salt water or on the sandy tidal zone of the fjord.

  • I promise to not consume, nor have in my possession, or be under the influence of any drugs (prescription or otherwise) or illegal substances. I also confirm to not be under the influence of alcohol (to be below the limit of 80 mg alcohol per 100 ml of blood, commonly called “point zero eight"), and will remain so for the entire duration of the activity.

  • I acknowledge that the rented equipment has been provided to me in good condition and undertake to return said equipment and accessories to the lessor's place of business at the end of the contract period, to notify the person in charge of the rental, and to return the equipment in the same state and operating condition as when I took possession of it, except as a result of normal wear and tear.

  • I am fully responsible for the rented equipment, and agree to take great care, and am entirely responsible for any loss caused by fire, theft or any other cause and undertake to pay the cost of repairing or replacing the rented equipment and accessories that have suffered loss or damage.

  • I agree to make a deposit which will be refunded when the rented items are returned. In the event of loss, damage or lateness in returning the rented equipment, the amount of the deposit will be used by the lessor to pay the amount due.

  • I undertake to notify the lessor in a written, signed document of any loss of rented equipment immediately after such loss, describing the circumstances during which it occurred, and to immediately notify the nearest police force.

  • I undertake to pay the rental fees in advance, at the beginning of the rental period and to pay for any additional period used, if it exceeds 10 minutes.

  • This contract is in effect for the duration mentioned in the rental contract.

The renter acknowledges having been informed by the lessor of the following points:

  • Risks inherent to the activities.

  • Instructions on the use the equipment (safety and activity).

  • Emergency communication instructions (911, company phone, 3 whistle blows, etc.)

  • General safety instructions (drink and eat enough, avoid being hot or cold, etc.)

  • Reminder of the end time of the activity.

Value of equipment and accessories, additional fees for repairs or late returns

The value of the rented equipment (bike, helmet, lock, accessories) is approximately 2500 dollars. We ask that you treat these respectfully, and to return them in good order. Repairs, if needed, will be charged at 30$/h plus parts. Late fees of 1$/minute may be charged, after 10 the minute grace period.
